Description
Pray Yang For Yintegrity is a thematic album based on the understanding that the human world, on the whole, is dominated by the “immature masculine” and that unless this consciousness matures, no amount of technology, good ideas, or political change is going to work. First, men must mature emotionally and spiritually. How will men mature? They must be hungry to grow and also be supported in this process by mature women and mature men. And this call to mature is what every song on this album is about.
Pray Yang For Yintegrity is the best-produced Nagdeo album so far, with a rich diversity of lyrical themes and styles of music. Some songs are trance-like meditations, others upbeat sing-a-longs, others solid rock anthems, and it includes many tongue-in-cheek expressions of difficult truths in a humorous, yet sincere package. If you want inspiration in growing up as a man or inspiration in supporting men in growing up, this album is wonderful musical medicine.

‘Pray Yang for Yintegrity’ is Nagdeo’s third album, and is even better than the first two. The band and songwriter Ano are writing and producing songs of the highest quality. The musicianship is superb!
The musical arrangements and production are top-notch. As always Ano’s songwriting offers humor mixed with serious messages, always insightful and often uplifting.
The contrasts in the music as it moves from sweet quiet passages to up-tempo danceable rhythms is well done and welcome to the listener.
My favorite is ‘Into the Heart’ with its simple strong message and singable uplifting choruses, contrasting with introspective parts.
I congratulate Ano and Nagdeo on a superb album and I encourage you to give it a listen!

Listening to Nagdeo, there is so much happening in each song. Very entertaining, never a dull moment! Of course, their sound and style is very unique. At the same time, I am also reminded of a blend between the genius of Frank Zappa and the grooves of the Grateful Dead. Creativity abounds in each song, with many interesting musical landscapes, and of course, their messages – so relevant for the times we are in.

This album is meant for the stage. It is not the type of music you will hear in a dance club or something to sit down and relax to. (Though you might want to put your headphones on, get comfortable with the lyric sheet, and really “take it in”.)
The “group” singing and the songs sound like they are what you would see in a full on staged musical production with acting and costumes, created and performed by a sustainable, off-grid community, full of love and soul expressing their untypical intentional way of life. This will resonate with many, though many, perhaps more close-minded people, will not be interested in this musical performance. Nonetheless, there is some real talent and creativity behind each song. I really hope this makes it to the stage one day as it would be a fun uplifting performance like no other out there.

The most musically robust and well-composed of all of Nagdeo’s previous albums, Pray Yang For Yintegrity, is a love letter to the incoming Aquarian age. It is a stating of intention, and often literally an imploration, of what could be. It’s like an audible breathwork session; inviting a cathartic release of our dysfunctions, inhibitions, and hang-ups. All the songs are well crafted, complex, and intricate, yet they remain approachable, not overly complicated, and avoid getting “muddy.”. This album acts as a “call out” to men and women around the world to “step up” into our full autonomy, integrity, and personal power. Ano’s songwriting dances on that razor’s edge of having deep psycho-spiritual visionary lyrics without falling (too often) into didactic zealotry, quite the accomplishment on it's own. Occasionally operatic and never not-funky, this album is meant to inspire, not just dancing, but also to reimagine our base desires, our personal and collective goals. A new world is possible, and Nagdeo is trying to jam it into existence.

In this age of political correctness, it’s rare to find people who are willing to share their convictions on subjects that are usually considered taboo. Some of the songs/lyrics on this album were a bit shocking at first but after listening, the raw truths open the door to a deeper connection with self and others.
On this album, Ano is a strongly advocating for human empowerment using the power of music. They use simple instrumentation that is raw, vibrant and deep. It’s rare to find music that delivers a spiritual, teaching message but also has such talent with the instrumentation! This album is one of a kind and definitely worth hearing.

In my opinion, third time is a charm! 🍀
And Nagdeo struck gold with their 3rd album ‘Pray Yang for Yintegrity’. I used to go to church, but now I just listen to this album and my spirit gets fulfilled 🙂
Often I will play the album and lay down for a hour as the music takes me on journey across the globe with hints of Asian, Indian, African, Caribbean and Hawaiian rock music mixed into one. Honestly sometimes the music can make me feel like I am lucid dreaming 😉
Rock on Nagdeo! 🤙🏼😎 🎸
